Aloha, I’m Sarah Lou Warren.

I am a mother, writer, and licensed psychotherapist living on Hawaiʻi Island, where I am raising my two children and tending a small homestead.

I work with women across all stages of life, focusing on depth work and complex trauma, and I hold a particularly deep reverence for mothers.

My lens is holistic, nonpathologizing and decolonial, and integrates EMDR, somatic awareness, emotional parts work, and breathwork.

Therapy, as I hold it, is not about fixing you. It is a process of remembering.

It is my deep knowing that each of us enters this world inherently worthy of love, safety, worthiness, and belonging. These truths are not things that you have to earn or construct; they are carried at the core of your being. And yet, through intergenerational trauma, cultural conditioning, and systems that disconnect us from our bodies and inner knowing, many of us lose access to these truths.

Therapy is a courageous wayfinding journey back to yourself—back to the parts of you that have always been whole, wise, and alive beneath the layers of survival. Together, we create space to listen for what is true, to untangle what no longer belongs to you, and to reconnect with the fullness of who you are.

Speaking to the heart of the mother

Motherhood is sacred work- and it asks everything of us. Today’s modern matriarchs are shaping the consciousness of the next generation amidst broader societal structures that are not set up for families to thrive at a time on the planet when the presence of suffering is immense. Many of us are doing this work alongside tending to the wounds of our own emotional inheritance and learning to reparent ourselves. Quite the undertaking!

Too often, mothers are expected to carry this alone. You don’t have to.

As a certified maternal mental health specialist and seasoned mother, I support women in moving through motherhood with more spaciousness, clarity, and self-trust. Whether you are preparing to become a mother, in the early intensity of postpartum, or years into the ongoing evolution of parenting, our work can help you feel more resourced, more grounded, and more connected—to yourself and to your children.

You don’t have to walk this path alone.
Healing begins the moment you allow yourself to be supported.

In our work together, you can expect to be met with deep presence and care. I offer grounded, compassionate listening alongside honest reflection. This is a space where all parts of you are welcome. A space to come home to yourself.

If you feel the quiet pull toward this work, I would be honored to walk alongside you as you move toward greater healing, integration, and wholeness. I offer therapy sessions via telehealth for ease of access.
